Mike Sanchez

Mike Sanchez focuses his practice on real estate, finance, and corporate transactions, including commercial leasing, real estate development, finance, acquisitions, and divestments. His experience includes work in the energy, manufacturing, financial services, commercial real estate, and residential real estate sectors.

Mike’s commercial leasing representation includes representing of both landlords and tenants of shopping centers, industrial properties, and office properties, as well as negotiations of ground leases. Mike has also represented purchasers/landlords in sale/leaseback transaction and in the financing of single tenant, net lease properties.

Mike has represented Fortune 500 energy companies in a variety of matters including the management and divestiture of real estate and energy assets located throughout the United States. His prior experience includes a long-term employment with a major energy corporation, where he gained extensive knowledge of the energy industry.

Mike has served as lead closing attorney for the large scale real estate divestitures of over 2500 commercial properties in a series of bulk closings for a major energy corporation. The assets spanned numerous jurisdictions nationally and involved an understanding of local laws and practices. The aggregate sales price of assets disposed in excess of $3 billion.

Mike is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston. He is also an active member in the Stanford Club of Houston.
