Art law, having represented visual artists, collectors, conservators, galleries, and non-profit arts organizations on a variety of matters including negotiating private purchase and sale transactions (including the acquisition and disposition of works by Carlos Cruz-Diez, Helen Frankenthelar, and Donald Judd), corporate governance issues, negotiating consignment agreements between artists and commercial galleries, protecting intellectual property rights, the securitization of loans with original works of art, advising artists regarding the loaning of works for museum shows, assisting collectors in establishing the provenance and authenticity of works, negotiating license agreements, and resolving disputes between gallerists and artists.
